Unable to open Antique Dining Table extension?
We have a dining table Krug Bros. circa 1930. The table has a leaf, but we are unable to open the table top must therefore separate the two halves. Something is stuck. I tried to use WD-40 on the metal bar that seems to unite both sides of the table, but not made. There are also two carpenters wood or slides, it seems that when the two halves of Table separated from the tongue and groove walls has something to do with this. Does anyone know what could cause an extension table with a stick like that? What should I watch? Help, please!
A totally dump on the table, or just looking to crawl under it? Complety Council on the table very closley and check to see if someone, in time, stuck a small nail or two in an area that may not be very visible. It was there common years for children who are accidentally separated at dinner. From what you said sounds good is a small nail or two, or some thing that was stuck in place so that the table also did'nt accidentally pulled the wrong time. Good luck!
