Bottle Amber
I left a bottle of White Zinfandel in my window a couple of months, is now a dark amber color. Why?
Most importantly yet, Is it safe to drink? I've never heard of this happening before. The window does not receive too much light ... I do not know, this is rare.
Its wine is oxidized because it has been exposed to air. Sounds like the plug could have cut the heat / light caused by being on the edge of the window and let some air in the bottle. It is very likely that it is normal to drink, but it will not taste. I walk.
