Portable charger at home?
I try to build a laptop charger at home. I intend to build a group pots with a wet pile of glass and strips of copper and zinc and some liquid catalysts such as salt water. each bottle produces about 0.5 volts. I want to connect a large number of them to a battery to power my laptop. my laptop has the level of input and output AC to DC 19 volts 1.58 amps, which is about 30.02 watts. I know I need a gearbox or a regulator, because I can not connect directly the battery of my laptop. Where can I find one? I do not have a converter AC current, because I need to generate too much battery power.
AC books are rare. Most accept 12-15VDC. You could get that with 30 bottles. However, the amount of current can be drawn from each bottle? I suspect you need hundreds of thousands of bottles.
