Is it okay to bring vitamins on a plane?
I'm flying from PA to KY for a few weeks, and I have a bottle of B-6 vitamins that I want to take with me (supposed to take them every day, and I don't really want to have to buy a bottle while down there when I already have them). So, is it okay to put in my carry on? Will they check it? I'm pretty sure OTC medicines are fine, and I'm not sure why they'd check it, but just wondering.
Prescription and over the counter items are perfectly fine.
The TSA will NOT take them away. If you are checking baggage, you can put them in that bag, or you can carry them with you into the cabin. Makes no difference.
The TSA web site also says that they do NOT have to be labeled. However, for convenience, I would keep the in the original bottle.
